Peer review   I have asked two  classmates  including my  partner to  peer review my magazine. They said I needed to fix some small things such as spelling  mishaps and changing the color for some things  to   make i t  appear interesting or   to pop out. Overall, they said my magazine looks perfect and everything is w here it needs to be. I personally think there might be too much white space, but I  don’t know how to fix it since I have no room to add more details or pictures. Overall, it looks like a real magazine and I feel proud to accomplis...

FINISHED.   After editing a few small things to perfect my magazine, it is now  completely finished . I  added  page numbers and almost forgot to include my selling line, so I added that in.  Although I have not had anyone peer review yet which I will do soon. I chose the common typography theme of big bold red letters which  makes my titles stand  out.  I also learned how to insert cutouts of products like  how  they do in real magazines and it was a long process. I had to separately go  on photoshop and cut out my image and then import it on InDesign. That shows how extra I will go to make my vision  come to life.   I arranged all my images to where I want them to be and for part of my design, I added shadows to the pictures.

1/18-1/22 blog post 2

Turning in Today is the last day to work on this portfolio and I  have to  submit it by 2:15 pm. I am glad I only had one class  today  so I had a couple hours to spare to work on anything else that needed to be done for this. I rearranged some pictures and  changed some colors. I am nervous and scared to add anything in as it may delete some parts of my magazine which has happened  before  and it was ver y frustrating. I wouldn’t want to touch my magazine last minute either. At this point, I am hoping I have everything required for this magazine and  last minute  checking over every little detail. I also hope my classmates and teacher will like this magazine as well. Now I can  assemble my portfolio into Blogger and officially be done!

The  finishing   touch   I have completed all parts of my magazine. I just need to see if  there’s  any slight changes I can make to perfect the look of the magazine.  Tomorrow I will have my partner or another classmate  proof read  my typography and peer review.  This project will be one of my best accomplishments, I was really invested in this. Although, I  did not like the process I went through to make this magazine, so I don’t know if I would want to do it again. I like the planning process where I did p hotoshoots and interviews, being able to work with different people ...

Almost there   I have finished my feature article pages. I didn’t have much room to import many images like I intended to do, so I was a little  disappointed .  I am working on my content page which will be my most creative page and I am excited to bring my design into life.  After I finish the content page, I will be done with the magazine and I would just need to do the blog posts. I am proud to see how far my partner and I have done  as it has been a stressful process and throughout all the hard work comes out a beautiful product.  My only worry is whether I am missing...

Feature articles      I wrote my feature articles based on the interviews  I've  conducted.   InDesign has been a frustrating program for my partner and I and we spent a large amount of time watching tutorials on how to use it. I learned how to use some of the wide variety of tools and got the hang of it. I was able to finish my cover page  and now I have moved on to  working on  my feature articles. I learned how to download fonts from the internet so I have been experimenting with different fonts that would best satisfy my vision.  I also started on my conte...

Meetup      I have finished my interviews and photoshoots. I've gained well  in depth  responses in my interview with  the fashion designer and makeup artist that I chose to work with.  I also met up with the model I have chosen  to  take photos of and finished that as well. The fashion designer  seemed that she knew what she was talking about and I am excited to share the interview in my article.  The makeup artist I interviewed seemed very  young  but she also knew how to answer my questions  where it was unique for only  middle aged  wome...

Shoots      I will be doing my photoshoot  with a friend’s mother with the theme of fitness. Since she is a  pretty fit  person, I thought she would be perfect for this photoshoot.  She will be dressed in gym attire and I will get some shots of her using gym equipment.  The gym equipment  I am  thinking of using as a prop could be a dumb bell  or a duffle bag.   The majority of  my shots would be in a neutral angle that would capture at least either half or her whole body. I might also do a low angle as low angles  gives the effect of the model looking powerful.  I am also thinking, if I end up not liking the gym photoshoot, that I will do a photoshoot in the kitchen. As stereotypical as it is,  I want to give the message that women own the kitchen and give off a boss appeal rather than a weaker  person.  I might have the model wear an outfit that  they would wear in the kitchen and use cookin...
